Former Teamsters' Union leader Jimmy Hoffa was un– earthed, earlier this year by Physical Plant workers repair– ing an earthquake damaged pipe. "It was strange," said Physi– cal Plant worker James Gaucho. "We broke through the asphalt to get to the pipe, and there he was--just sitting there." Hoffa was reported in good health by Health Center staff, who were rushed to the scene to offer medical assistance. "He was slightly malnour– ished and suffering from dehy– dration, but really none the worse for wear," said nurse Rachel Goody. "After stabiliz– ing him and feeding him a few Twinkies, we sent him off toMe– morial General for further
tests and observation. Hoffa spoke with reporters before he was taken to the hos pital, finally revealing the de tails of his heretofore mysteri ous disappearance. "I was in the bathroom, clip ping my toe nails," he said, "when suddenly a group of thugs broke through the door and dragged me outside and shoved me into the trunk of their car. I was later transferred to a plane and a few hours later they shoved me into this hole here and sealed it up."
University officials issued a statement apologizing for the situation and stating that it will now be official policy and pro– cedure to investigate any suspi– cious on-campus nocturnal ex– cav at ions. Athletic department considers cricket team
