Davy Greenlees’ 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon is called Rescue because: “A rescue-themed Jeep was my build concept, after being a member of our Local JERC (Jeep Emergency Rescue Crew). Recently”, Davy helped start a new group called North Cariboo Overland Adventures. NCO Adventures is a team of off-road enthusiasts based out of Prince George and they have big goals. They want to share the beauty of their back- yard with other off-roaders near and far, while promoting “leave no trace” adventuring by working with the Ministry of Natural Resources to protect the land. They also want to keep areas open to off-road vehicles, support local businesses and benefit local charities by planning and executing special events. In fact, when he begins to list all of the groups he either started or is a member of, it soon becomes clear that this is his main passion in life: “I also started a group for youth aged 18 to 26 with Scouts Canada, the 22 nd Scouts Canada Overland Rovers Expeditions, (22SCORE), I’m also with Overland Bound.”The handle Rescue not only suites the Jeep, but also its owner.

Davy’s love of Jeeps began early: “As a young fan of The Dukes Of Hazard, though I thought the General Lee was pretty awesome, I always really liked Dixie, Daisy Duke’s 1980 CJ-7 Golden Eagle Edition Jeep. It wasn’t until my adult years when I started wrenching on Jeeps that I decided it was time to get one. My first Jeep was a 1974 CJ-5 and soon after that, I bought another one, trading in my truck for a lifted and well-used 2010 Jeep Wrangler

Unlimited. I fell in love with the Jeeps’ ability to go places during all the adventures I was suddenly going on. That, and the ability to modify the Jeep with seemingly endless options. Thus began my relationship with my local Raven/NSOR store. While contemplating a trip to Jeep Mecca, Moab UT, for the 50 th anniversary of the Easter Jeep Safari, I began to think about how great it would be to start from scratch and have everything built ‘my way’. I eventually purchased a stock Rubicon and began the build, with only one month to have

it ready to go to Moab. Immediately, I had the dealership install the 4.5” BDS Suspension Long Arm lift. They also installed the aftermarket drive shafts to keep the angles nice! ”He chose to begin with the lift “so I could stuff on 35” Good Year Wrangler MTR’s with Kevlar! After I picked up the Jeep, I used their parking lot to install the front bumper, a Smittybilt Gen 1 XRC Bumper and my Warn Winch.”When he finally drove it off the lot, it felt like a Dream Ride.
