EN The Riu Plaza Panama comfortably lived up to expectations as the venue for the Sev- enth Summit of the Americas. The Internation- al Development Bank chose the hotel for the II Business Forum of the Americas on account of its central location in the city’s financial dis- trict, its simple logistics and excellent service. The event saw the participation of 12 heads of state from the continent, including the Presi- dent of the USA, Barack Obama, his Mexican counterpart, Enrique Peña Nieto, and the Bra- zilian President Dilma Rousse , in addition to other important figures such as the Secretary- General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, and entrepreneurs such as Mark Zuckerberg and Carlos Slim.
