WELCOME BACK to all our summer friends, volunteers & supporters! We’ve had a busy winter at The Commons… • We installed new subflooring & beautiful new carpeting in our hallways, followed by a fresh coat of paint. • With the support of the Maine State Housing facilities maintenance program, we have upgraded our electrical system & installed a larger generator to carry us seamlessly through any power outage. • Donors to our Sustainability Fund gifted & pledged an astounding $600,000 in the first year of the campaign! Your donations have been safely invested with Maine Community Foundation. Earnings will provide additional yearly income to help close the MaineCare funding gap & ensure the Commons will be here to serve the next generation of islanders. • We continue to work tirelessly to improve our facility, develop our staff, and increase our efficiency. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, and so thankful to all of you who’ve donated your time, expertise, and resources to work with us in achieving our goals.
