1983 Alcalá

The 1983 Women's Crew team consisted of 27 dedicated womenrowing on novice and varsity levels. They had practice twice a day; the first rowing inMission Bay (at 6A.M.!!) and the secondparticipating in land training exercises,weight training and running. TheToreras faced such top teams as USC, UCLA, SDSU, UCSD and Santa Clara. A big highl ht of the year was the opportunity to row in the famed San Diego Crew Classic. Crew teams from all over the country participated ular event. Thoughthe waterswere rough and the competition stiff, the Lady Toreraswere always up to the challenge.
