Margaret has over 20 years experience as a Lean practitioner and teaches courses at Virginia Tech on Lean and leadership. Revitalizing Continuous Improvement Examples of Lean in Business Cynthia Popernack & Lynn Miller, Canon Learn about Canon Virginia’s system for reviving their lean culture: a three-part approach that includes a cross-functional planning team, a training methodology and gemba events. Cynthia and Lyn are both Industrial Engineers with Canon Virginia, Inc. Kaizen in Action! (in Local Government) Chad Sweeney & Jessica Webb, Roanoke County Learn about the Kaizen concept and see first- hand how two local government processes were improved with a two-day Kaizen event. Chad is the Enterprise Servies Manager for Roanoke County’s Information Technology and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Jessica is the Administrative Services Coordinator for Roanoke County’s Department of Social Services and is a Certified Lean Practitioner through Virginia Tech.
