Dear Dr. Roman, 

I am writing to support the application of Dr. Gabriel Giancaspro to the Official Methods Board of AOAC.   I have known Gabriel for more than 10 years through my interactions with USP.  I have found him to be  extremely knowledgeable in the general field of analytical chemistry and specifically for foods and  botanicals.  His position at USP has given him an excellent overview of methods and the need for  validation.  He is thoughtful, well spoken, and willing to consider other opinions.  I think he would be an  excellent addition to the OMB.  Sincerely,
