José Luís Peixoto

José Luís Peixoto (born in Galveias, Portugal, 1974) studied modern language and literature at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa before working as a teacher. He is one of Portugal’s première fiction writers and has won numerous awards, including the Prémio Oceanos and Prémio Libro d’Europa . His works have been translated into 26 languages and include poetry collections, travel memoirs, and novels. Autobiografia (2019) explores an author’s relationship, perhaps Peixoto’s own, with renowned author José Saramago. Albert Bonjoch Albert Bonjoch received a degree in journalism from the Autonomous Universityof Barcelonaandanother inTheatreStudies fromtheUniversity of the Sorbonne-Paris III. He worked in media and cultural institutions in Barcelona, Paris, Berlin, and Bogotá. He founded and continues to curate the Slow Photo Journalism web blog and has authored various short stories in addition to El Colombiario (Vision Libros, Madrid, 2019), which appears here. TE 19-2
