Standard 1.R.10: Identifya variety of texts and explain the differences between literary texts and informational texts. (RL & RI)

The scope and sequence provides instruction with this standard in all units. Questions for analysis of text structure are provided within the text sets of the ELA curriculum. During the close reading routine, reads 2 & 3 (or more) support this analysis. When comparing primary and secondary sources, look to science and social studies curriculum to support additional sources.
