a. (i) Upon the determination that a vacancy exists with respect to an Elected Disciplinary Board Member , the President of the Disciplinary Board shall notify the Bishop of the vacancy and request appointment of a replacement member of the same order as the member to be replaced. b. (ii) The Bishop Ecclesiastical Authority , with the advice of the Standing Committee , (except when the Standing Committee is the Ecclesiastical Authority) shall then appoint a replacement Disciplinary Board member. c. (iii) Persons appointed to fill vacancies on the Disciplinary Board shall meet the same eligibility requirements as apply to elected Disciplinary Board members. d. With respect to a vacancy created for any reason other than pursuant to a disqualification as provided in Section 3 below, the term of any person selected as a replacement Disciplinary Board member shall be the unexpired term of the member being replaced. With respect to a vacancy resulting from a disqualification, the replacement Disciplinary Board member shall serve only for the proceedings for which the elected Disciplinary Board member is not serving as a result of the disqualification. (2) Vacancy Arising from Departure of Appointed Disciplinary Board Member. a. Upon the determination that a vacancy exists with respect to an Appointed Disciplinary Board Member, the Ecclesiastical Authority shall appoint a replacement Disciplinary Board member. b. Persons appointed to fill vacancies on the Disciplinary Board shall meet the same eligibility requirements as apply to elected Disciplinary Board members. c. (iv) With respect to a vacancy created for any reason other than pursuant to a disqualification as provided in Section 3 below, the term of any person selected as a replacement Disciplinary Board member shall be the unexpired term of the member being replaced. With respect to a vacancy resulting from a disqualification, the replacement Disciplinary Board member shall serve only for the proceedings for which the elected Disciplinary Board member is not serving as a result of the disqualification.
