OCTOBER 2015 BEACON

Members often go out of their way to help our Club or one another – doing what needs to be done, above and beyond! This is your chance as membership to issue them a quick Thank You and recognize them for their good efforts. If you wish to offer any members a Hy-Five, please email the

members name and reason to publications@ncyconline.com

The First Mates greatly appreciate the work done by Don Shepperson & Chris Strzyzewski to fix the Boutique small window…..Marie Pepin

Darryl Campbell wanted to thank Terry Steinmacher for putting in 23 hours on his OD weekend, because he had several people that did not show up. Also he wanted to give Ron Draper a "Hy-Five" for installing the mounts for the windows on Fin #3. Also, A "Hy- Five" was sent out to Chris Strzyzewski for his help in all of the extra things that he did while he was a week day manager. Repairing the plumbing under the clubhouse,

identifying the problem and fixing. Labor Day Week Manager team:

No one was scheduled to manage the club the week before Labor Day. When Kim Miedema asked, this team stepped up at the last minute and made it happen! Thanks for keeping the club house open on this critical week! Diane French and Ron and Jeannine Kemp. Even Ed Romatz came to help! The four of you are always there when we need you most! THANK YOU! And a Extra Special Hy-Five to Dick and Vicki Raymond! They had never managed before and wanted to learn. Wow! What a great job! They jumped in, read the manuals, worked hard and highly impressed the rest of the team. We trained a great asset to the OD management volunteer list when we asked you both! It is true, Many Hands make Light Work. We helped the club, had fun, and ate really good too! (Each person took a dinner, so we only had to cook once all week!)….Kim Miedema
