OUR GEARBOX REMANUFACTURING PROCESS

• Core unit inspected for cracks and other damage • Core unit completely disassembled and cleaned • Casing and all internal components are kept together throughout the process • All components cleaned, graded and inspected, checking against OE specifications • Parts that fail inspection are discarded and replaced • Gears checked for wear to the tooth profiles to ensure the gearbox does not suffer from excessive noise whilst in operation • Synchromesh hubs and baulk rings inspected and replaced if necessary to ensure quiet gear selection

Today’s multi-speed manual gearboxes are highly intricate, precision-engineered units. As you might expect, only the most experienced technicians are entrusted with the complex and involved remanufacturing process that ensures we supply only the very highest quality replacement units. Every gearbox is stripped to its component parts, then meticulously cleaned, tested and inspected prior to remanufacture. Worn components are either discarded or, where possible, re-engineered to original specification.
