Associate Handbook 2018

The email and Internet usage policies (UK) are located on LockDocs and provide further information on the Company standards and guidelines relating to the use of electronic systems. Associates should read the document in conjunction with this Policy to ensure that they understand and comply with Company standards. Anyone found to be in contravention of the Group policy regarding email and Internet abuse may be disciplined, up to and including dismissal. Serious breaches may amount to gross misconduct.

10.8

Use Of Private Car For Company Business

Should Associates be required to use their personal car for Company business, and they are not in receipt of a car allowance, they will be reimbursed at a rate per mile. The current rate can be obtained from the Finance Division. The mileage should be accurately recorded on an expenses claim form and approved by Managers.

The form should then be forwarded to the Finance Division for reimbursement. Associates are responsible for ensuring their car insurance permits business usage.

For Associates who receive a car allowance please see section 5.5.

Anyone driving on Company business should familiarise themselves with the health and safety policy HSP4 “Driving on Company Business”.

All Lockton associates who drive on company business are subject to a check on having a valid UK driving licence.

All Associates who drive on company business and claim more than 2000 miles per annum, and a random selection of those driving less, are also subject to MOT and Insurance checks.

The above Associates will be contacted via email from a third party to request consent for these checks and to provide relevant documentation.

10.9

Related Associates

The only restriction normally on the employment of relatives of current Associates is where they are in jobs where one can affect the other’s work or influence salary progress or promotion. Should the possibility of this situation arise the Human Resources Division should be informed.

10.10 Travel And Mobility

Associates may, during the proper performance of their duties, be required to visit other Lockton offices and to travel both inside and outside the United Kingdom. Reasonable travelling and subsistence expenses may be claimed via the Expenses Policy for such journeys.

10.11 Personal Property

The Company cannot be responsible for any money or personal possessions that Associates bring onto the premises and it is important that Associates do not leave valuables or money unattended.
