Workflow – Interacting with Workflow

Workflow Buttons The workflow Buttons are located in the lower left corner of the EC Data Form. If the EC record is in a NEW or WORKFLOW_REJECTED state ( referring to its life-cycle status ), the workflow Button will be a single button for submitting the EC record into workflow:

The administrator can optionally configure one or more required “conditions” that must be satisfied before an EC record can be submitted into workflow. For example, the administrator could configure a “condition” mandating that all EC records must contain a value in their [DESCRIPTION] field before the EC record can be submitted into workflow. If the user attempts to submit an EC record does not satisfy a “condition”, the [Submit To Workflow] Button is disabled. The user can hover over the [Submit To Workflow] Button to view a message dialog that displays the reason that the [Submit To Workflow] Button is disabled:

While the EC record is in workflow (its state is either WORKFLOW_SUBMITTED or WORKFLOW_REVIEW - referring to its life-cycle status ), the Button that is available to the user is dependent on the user being a decision maker or not being a decision make for the current workflow STATE. • If the user is not an assigned decision maker for the current workflow STATE, the workflow Button will be disabled and it will note [In Workflow]:

• If the user is an assigned decision maker for the current workflow STATE, two workflow Buttons will be enabled ([Reject] and [Approve]), to allow the user to interact with the workflow STATE:
