Exporting

The module uses the “template design” to properly map the designated data from the EC record into the Excel file (as configured by the administrator) and opens the resulting file. The following figure is an example of a possible resulting Excel file:

Referencing the figure above: • The Excel file was generated from [ ECN-0014 ].

• The ECN record was established for [X] Cost Savings . • The ECN record was assigned a [X] Medium priority. • The ECN record has multiple part numbers assigned to it ( MW 000058, MW 000059, MW 000060 and MW 000058-01 ). • Etc… The created Excel and/or PDF files contain static information, reflecting the available data at the time that the Excel and/or PDF file was created. They serve as a “snapshot” of the EC record’s metadata, recording information from when the file was created. If the EC record is updated within MechWorks PDM, its updates will not be visible within the already existing Excel and/or PDF files.
