Accessing Existing EC Records – View EC History Dialog

View EC History Dialog Another way to view the EC records assigned to a selected document record is to right-mouse select the document from within MechWorks PDM and select the [ Life Cycle ]  [ View EC History ] command:

A history dialog similar to the following will be displayed, presenting the selected document’s history of EC records in a hierarchical tree format instead of a flat grid format:

By default, the left-half of the history dialog displays the selected document’s ECN records and its IR records organized with the most recent on top and the oldest on the bottom. ECN records which incorporated one or more ECR records will list its incorporated ECR records as a child node. By default, the selected document’s ECR records that have not been incorporated within an ECN record are displayed on the right-half. All EC records that have been CLOSED (terminated or completely approved through workflow and cannot be modified) are shown with grey text. All EC records that are still “open/active” (have not been terminated nor completely approved through workflow and can still be modified) are shown with black text.
