Life Cycle of an EC Record – IR or ECN

TERMINATED-STATUS : For this example, it has been determined that the IR record is going to be terminated (completely canceled). When the IR record is terminated, its [EC_STATE] (referencing the life-cycle status of the IR record) will automatically change to TERMINATED to indicate that the IR record has been completely terminated:

The IR record has been terminated and is no longer available for life cycle processes. The IR record is closed and available for read-only access. The document records that were assigned to the IR record are available to be worked on and life-cycled within MechWorks PDM accordingly. The design files can continue to be CHECKED-OUT , CHECKED-IN, APPROVED, OBSOLETED, or even added to a different IR record.
