Life Cycle of an EC Record – IR or ECN

WORKFLOW_REJECTED-STATUS : A workflow decision maker found an issue (spelling error in its assigned drawing) and has decided to reject the IR record out of workflow. The IR record’s [EC_STATE] (referencing the life-cycle status of the IR record) will automatically change to WORKFLOW_REJECTED to indicate that the IR record was in workflow and that it has been rejected out of workflow. Most environments are configured to automatically initialize a notification regarding the rejection. There are two primary reasons for this process, to allow for required corrections or to get the IR record terminated:

Now the IR record can be corrected before resubmitting it to workflow (so it is back to being in an entirely writable state). Users can edit the IR Data Form’s metadata, change its assigned Form, add/remove assigned documents, and add/remove attachments. Its assigned documents can be CHECKED-OUT and CHECKED-IN as needed.
