Lihua Q2 results

Trident Subsea Cable has unveiled its plans for a link between Perth and Singapore via a 4,600km subsea cable passing through Onslow, in the Pilbara, and Jakarta in Indonesia. It also outlines the construction of a subsea cable around the North West shelf and an onshore connection between Perth and Port Hedland. The project is expected to provide a major boost to Western Australia’s telecommunications connectivity. Trident says it will allow the state government, as well as Western Australia’s mining, oil and gas sectors, to use the infrastructure, and will provide a data center co-location in the state. State commerce minister Michael Mischin hailed the private sector initiative as making a vital contribution to the telecommunications infrastructure of Western Australia, and facilitating the operations of multinational corporations in the region.
