Rabmer Pipe Renewal becomes Sekisui SPR after acquisition deal

The Rabmer Pipe Renewal Group is now 100 per cent part of the Sekisui Group. To create a uniform presence, the various companies of the Rabmer Pipe Renewal Group are being renamed under the Sekisui brand. In addition, all companies will carry the SPR logo, which represents the pipe renewal division. Sekisui SPR Europe and the Rabmer Pipe Renewal Group have been cooperating in the European pipe rehabilitation market for two years. New markets have been created in Central and Eastern Europe by the locally established Rabmer subsidiaries, securing a market position across Europe in pressure and sewage pipe rehabilitation. At the end of 2011, Sekisui Chemical Co Ltd acquired a 75 per cent holding in the Rabmer Pipe Renewal Group, based in Austria. The Rabmer Pipe Renewal Group enhanced its trenchless pipe rehabilitation technologies portfolio with the Spiral-Wound technology, also consolidating its market position in the Central and Eastern European area. With Sekisui as the parent company, Samuel Midwest has opened a new 65,000ft 2 facility in Chicago, USA, offering a broad selection of products and services. The new plant includes a three- torch hi-def plasma burning table for production burning and large plate, with table size 22 x 70ft; a high-speed crane for added efficiency; a full line of carbon sheet and plate inventory, including A36, A572-50, A514, A516- 70, 100XF and 130 min yield; and a full line of stainless and aluminium sheet and plate. The facility complements the company’s existing network across the Midwest of the USA, including a 62,000ft 2 operation in Milwaukee. Milwaukee’s capabilities include three burning machines with rotational plasma torches to bevel contoured and rectangular parts; machining heads to drill holes in large parts/shapes; and
