Also from Compass Box comes this blend of 33% single grain whisky from the Cameronbridge grain distillery near Edinburgh and 67% malts from Benrinnes, Laphroaig, and Clynelish. The taste has notes of clove, orange peel, driftwood smoke, honey, banana chips, coconut, and vanilla. The finish has lingering touches of orange peel, clove, and honey. It’s not often we get new, limited releases that are both plentiful, affordable, and this tasty. Imagine the regular Great King Street, but richer, fuller, and with a healthy dollop of peat smoke.
