Bishop to Join In Dedication Sacred Heart Church, 2001 Sunset Cliffs Blvd., Ocean Beach, will be dedicated at solemn ceremonies con- ducted by the Most Rev. Charles Francis Buddy, DD, Bishop of the San Diego Diocese, at 8:30 a. m. to- morrow. It is the first entirely new Catholic church to be completed in San Diego County since V-J Day. An Italian marble altar in the Romanesque church building will be con&ecrated by the Bishop at 8 this morning. Assisting in the rites wil be the Rev. B. Francis Ross, the Bishop's Secretary; the Rev. Luke Deignen, Pastor of St. Didacus Church; the Rev. Clarence Mann, OFM, of Immaculate Conception Church; the Rev. Jae VanVeggel, of St. Brigid's, Pacific Beach; the Rev. Joseph V. Clarkin, of St. Mary-Star- of-the-Sea, La Jolla, and the Rev. John Bradley, Assistant to the Rev. Edward F. Hannon, Pastor of the Ocean Beach parish. Construction of the new building, replacing a smaller structure, was started last Summer. It is of rein- forced concrete with a cast stone facade. Unusual features of the church include 16 large stained glass windows, which illustrate the story of the 12 promises of the Sacred
