JAMES 2:10 “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”

(One sin is enough to condemn us.)

2. Because of the results of our sin (Eternity in hell)

ROMANS 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

(If a man dies without being saved from his sin, he (himself) will have to pay the wages for his sin. The death referred to here is not physical death, but the second death — hell and the lake of fire.)

REVELATION 20: 14-15 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
