Follow in the footsteps (or tire tracks) of Julius Caesar on a 1,820-mile cycling tour from London to Rome. The epic 33-day journey begins in London before riders head to the White Cliffs of Dover and cross the Channel into France by boat. The cycling route continues through France to the Champagne region and into the gastronomic hub of Burgundy. Riders then head past the picturesque Lake Geneva, Switzerland, and then over to Italy. The path through Italy heads toward the striking northern lakes of Como and Maggiore, continuing up to the magnificent limestone peaks of the Dolomites. Riders then experience a well-earned breather with a descent down to Venice and along the Adriatic coast. After crossing the renowned Rubicon, once marking the boundary between Roman-controlled Italy and Cisalpine Gaul, the route heads inland through the rugged regions of Abruzzo and Molise, before heading to the finish line, Rome.
