demanded by the company’s customers. The new serrated link configuration is backward compatible with the H-Style link standard. New no-drop multi-ball mandrel – this configuration allows rapid tube loading without consuming time and aggravation necessary to fight the gravity effect of drooping mandrel balls. The no-drop links will soon be available in all sizes. Now multi- ball small and large tube mandrel bending is made easy. Inserted close pitch mandrels (ICP) – mandrels are designed with respect of car exhaust system producers needs. This new design combines advantages of two mandrel styles, the good tube support of close pitch style and price savings of inserted mandrel style. The original close pitch style was often used to bend heavier walled tubes. ICP mandrels are built on beefier ICP style (half close pitch) links to cover the range 33 to 117.5mm OD. These links are not compatible with H-style links, but are now also made as two serrated halves.

priced UT technologies. This has forced a lot of our competitor’s end-users to compete in the world market with twenty, thirty, or even forty-year-old MFL equipment.” “We understand you can’t be the best at everything you do, no one can. But you can be the best at a few things that you practice and specialise in,” commented Matt Rutledge, vice-president of sales and marketing for Scan Systems Corp. “As such, we chose MFL inspection methods as Pitco’s primary focus, and to that ideal we committed to be the best.” Fax: +1 28121 92317 Hall 5 Stand D01 AT Tube 2010 Pixargus will present its new AllRounDia ® system for optical inline measurement of extruded tubes and sections. This system for the first time combines the functions of a ‘node controller’ with those of a ‘diameter and ovality measuring system’ into a single device. Hall 4 Stand H09 PITCO focuses on advancing MFL inspection methods and technologies in the OCTG industry. Pitco engineers have developed many improvements to the mechanics and electronics that have advanced MFL inspection technology. Its ability to digitise analogue signals within inches of the source, in combination with complex software algorithms, has helped to create a sophisticated signal processing system. These milestones have allowed Pitco to become one of the benchmarks of excellence in products and services in the OCTG MFL inspection industry. Danny Uselton, president of Scan Systems Corp, Pitco’s parent company, said: “The focus of Pitco for the past ten years has been to evaluate current inspection technologies, research improvements, and apply successful developments to create better products and software associated with Magnetic Flux inspection of OCTG pipes. Due to small markets, some competitors have simply chosen to move completely away from MFL technologies, and concentrate on the higher-
