Combi laser cutter for profiles, tubes and sheets ON the new Stiefelmayer combi, profiles and tubes as well as sheets can be processed economically, without having to convert the machine. The working area for sheets is on a par with existing laser cutting machines. On one side it is a flatbed laser cutting machine for large sheets with dimensions 3,000 x 1,500mm, on the other side is has equipment for profile and tube processing and it is ideal for businesses that require sheet, tube and profile processing. With a classic flatbed machine, you can only process tube sections if you carry out a large amount of structural conversion work on the machine first. The quantities are often too small to warrant installing a separate tube laser machine. The sheet is loaded using the change table and is processed over the complete working area with the flying optics. The principle of operation for tube and profile processing in the Stiefelmayer combi meets the established principle for conventional lathes with bar feed. Parts are either cut off from the profile, which is advanced automatically, or profile sections are clamped between the master chuck and tailstock chuck and processed along the length. The working area for tube and profile processing runs parallel to the sheet processing area. The Y-axis projects over the sheet area, so on this side of the machine, you have an extension arm along the whole length. With the sliding door, which opens the complete workspace, as well as the mobile control panel, the side for profile processing is also very easy to operate. With a bar feed with a length of 6m, profiles up to a circumference of 120mm are fed automatically. For larger profiles or special requirements, there is a sliding tailstock with manual collet chuck in the working area. The maximum clamping length is 3m. With the flying optics, you can also process over the whole length in the profile working area. An extensive off-line programming system is available for programming both processing technologies. Through the novel design principle, the customer receives two fully-fledged technologies in one compact machine with a minimum footprint.
