Use Realia: Bring in a box so students can visually see 3-D as you talk about the dimensions; length, height, width and volume. 11-4: STEM Activity: Everyday Energy. Challenge students to create a blueprint for their dream house similar to the example on the worksheet, then label the perimeters and use them to calculate the volumes of each room.
