STREAMLINE HOW TO LEVERAGE BUSINESS VALUE BY SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT Streamline was launched in PPC Saint-Gobain mid-2014 in order to improve both Customer Service Index and Working Capital. Supply Chain Management has been pointed out as a key leverage to achieve these objectives.
OBJECTIVES
• Understand how Supply Chain Management can help to clarify the business priorities and to align the management team on these priorities • Understand how S&OP (Sales & Operations planning) can play a role for getting a One Team at the management level • Understand the importance of demand and product plans and its connection with production planning including projected inventories • Capture the 8 principles of S&OP • Consider the roles and the accountable missions of all functions taking part in Streamline

• Business priorities clarification in terms of strategic market positioning • Value proposition of supply chain management • Importance of governance, arbitration rules and missions definitions • Demand plan process and forecast accuracy metrics • Organizational models for demand plan • Planning performance evaluation and associated key indicators • Analyzing supply chain demand with concerned actors (taking into account maturity) • Typology of the forecasting models according to relevant segmentation criteria
