MANAGEMENT CONTROL LEVEL I - MANAGEMENT CONTROL BASICS Understand basic controlling practices in Saint-Gobain.

OBJECTIVES

• To understand the common, consolidating language of Saint-Gobain Management Control. • To analyse the different approaches to costs, margins and available tools. • To learn about the company diagnostics approach

PARTICIPANTS

Junior controllers and experienced controllers having recently joined Saint-Gobain. Operational managers and recently appointed managers (plant and outlet managers).

PROGRAMME

• Group Management Control work and responsibilities: controlling as a component of financial reporting and an aid to operational decision-making, key profitability ratios, new prospects for management control • Controlling tools: different types of cost and decision-making, controlling current and future costs, monitoring margins, WCR, plant tour and practical presentation of calculation methods and reporting system • The profession of Controller: strategic and operational guidance, cross-functional Organizations and management control, communications Teaching techniques: presentations, discussions, practical exercises and simulations.
