V P of Programming is the chair of the Associated Students Program Board. This board is responisble for discussing and planning student pro– grammed events including: Showcase, Concert Series, Film Forum, Cultural Arts, Social Issues Programming, So– cial, Speakers Bureau,SMILE, Special Projects, Athletics, Asylum, and Com– munity Service. The VP of Program– ming oversees all programers, is re– sponsible for both the coordintaion of duties of all student activities on cam– pus, and for programming issues dis– cussed in Senate and Executive Board meetings. As a member of the Execu– tive Borad, the VP of Programming is also part of the Finance committee and Budget Committee Meetings. It had been a goal of this VP's position to see to it that the programmers bring edu– cational and entertaining events to campus.
J/alf a milion dollars is a lot of money and a lot of responsibili ty. Matt took the task of handling this respon– sibi lity, did an outstanding job, and mad e it look easy in the process. Matt aided the AS Programmers and Sena– tors with all of their financial wants and needs. He also worked closely with clubs and organizations and helped them in any way that was pos– sible. In short, Matt made things hap– pen for people.
