Teacher Develops the Skill/Standard: Revisits Learning Intention and Success Criteria throughout the lesson Uses the Visual Learning Animation Plus video or Another Look video Makes manipulatives available to all students Pauses video to model, pose questions and allow time for discussion Reviews vocabulary and makes connections for students Checks for understanding Teacher Guides Learning: Teacher and students work together on problems using manipulatives Poses purposeful questions to promote classroom discussion with accompanying sentence frames A quick check for understanding is pre-planned and administered so teacher has data to know who needs additional support with skill-based instruction. Quick Checks would be one or more of the following: enVision 2.0 Quick Check Question(s) enVision 2.0 Digital Quick Check Team created CFA Exit Ticket Teacher assigns up to 4 or 5 practice problems to students showing mastery on the quick check Teacher supports students not showing mastery with more guided practice

by teacher with a partner, small group and/or whole group

Guided Practice (We do, Y’all do)

Work with a partner or small group with manipulatives and tools to solve problems Discuss the math with a partner or small group using the provided sentence frame

Quick Check (You do)

Students individually

complete the assessment using manipulatives or tools used during instruction

30-45 Minutes

Independent Practice (You do)

Students showing mastery on the quick check will practice independently on 4 or 5 problems Students not showing mastery will engage in more guided practice with the teacher
