Scheduling Math Special Education Services for Elementary Schools (For Students with IEP Math Goals)

Students needing Special Education Services for Math

Students require Special Education Instruction beyond the Math Skill-Based (SBI) (As determined by IEP team) If the IEP team determines a student needs more service time for Math, choose from the following options: *1 st option: During Science and Social Studies 2 nd option: During Content Integration (20-30 minutes)

When to provide Special Education Services ( Special education service minutes determined by IEP team based on student need )

1 st option: During Math Skill-Based Instruction (SBI) – (30-45 minutes) • The Special Education Teacher (and if needed, Special Education Para- educator) will provide Math Services during SBI time determined by IEP team • Service minutes can be up to 45 minutes a day during SBI time 2 nd option: During Math Core Instruction in the General Education Classroom (45-60 minutes) push-in model 3 rd option: Combination of SBI and Core Instruction push-in • Service minutes are
