The Student Alumni Association provides the important link between the current undergraduate popula– tion and the alumni of the Univer– sity. The primary goal of SAA is to increase student awareness as to the importance of alumni as a part of the university through alumni campus activities and events. The Student Alumni Association participates in several events throughout the aca– demic year including Homecoming, the Alumni Mass, Career Day, the Senior Class Gift and the Senior Banquet. Additionally, the Student Alumni Association assists with other events as needed by the office of Alumni Relations.

The Student Alliance Em– bracing Sexual Orientation is dedi– cated to providing a safe environ– ment to assist gay, lesbian, and bisexual students at USD to em– brace their sexuality in a positive way. SAESO meets once a week to discuss personal challenges, the history of gay, lesbian, and bisexual community, homophobia, coming out, and many other topics. Other meetings consist of gay, lesbian, and bisexual movies, trips to Hillcrest and West Holly– wood, speakers, and social events .
