German Club

The primary goal of the German Club is to contribute to the students' understanding of German culture . The various activities provide an out-of-class exposure to the German language and culture, such as the annual Oktoberfest in La Mesa, German cuisine, and parties. The club sponsors guest speakers, such as natives who tell about life in Germany, and students who spent time studying there, also. This club is not just for those studying Ger– man, but rather, it is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about a country full of culture and history.

fikane 'OJ-Iawaii

Akane 'O Hawaii (Friends of Hawaii) is one of the newer clubs at the University of San Diego. Its purpose is to share the culture of the Hawaiian Islands and the Aloha spirit with those not familiar with Aina(land) . They also aid new and transfer students from Hawaii in meeting people and making their transition into USD easier. Stu– dents who are not from Hawaii are also encouraged to join so they can experience Hawaiian customs and culture.
