Город Линц, что в Верхней Австрии, известен не только сво- им славным прошлым, откуда выстреливают в любителя исто- рии старейшая из сохранившихся австрийских церквей, трех- летняя резиденция императора Фридриха II в конце 15 века и кое-какие связи с Адольфом Гитлером, увенчавшиеся стро- ительством в 25 километрах от города концлагеря Маутхау- зен. The city of Linz in Upper Austria is famous for its glorious past, which strikes history lov- ers with the oldest church in Austria, the for- mer three-year seat of Emperor Friedrich the III at the end of the fifteenth century, and some connections to Adolf Hitler, which even- tually lead to construction of Mauthausen concentration camp 25 kilometres away from the city. Industrial development of the area is a chapter (or rather, several chapters) in the history that evokes as much interest as others. Although the city has long taken its place in the hall of fame of Austrian tourist destina- tions, it is obvious that at least one third of visitors are dedicated professionals from differ- ent countries who came over to exchange and adopt experience.
