Frank Brown enters his fourth and final season with the Torero football program ... he will compete for the starting tight end spot in 1997 after finishing out the '96 campaign as the starter in the final four games ... he finished with two receptions for 13 yards withalongof8 yards against Drake ... he backed up Duncan Hardy at the beginning of '96 and through the 1995 campaign ... he prepped at nearby Valhalla High School in El Cajon, California where he also lettered in basketball, baseball and track .. . his senior year in football he was named the Team Defensive MVP; was All-Grossmont League on both offense and defense; and was selected All-CIF Defensive Line .. . out of high school was recruited by Saint Mary's and Northern Arizona ... Major: Business Administration.

David Del Conte enters his fourth and final season with the USD football program ... this season will play the invert position on the defensive side of the ball ... the first half oflast season David played on offense at running back ... he earned one start, and his best outing came against California Lutheran with 10 yards on 4 rushes with a long of 7 yards ... second half of season he switched to defense where he played linebacker and invert, finishing the season with 4 tackles ... was also recruited by SaintMary's, Western Linfield and Cornell ... prepped at Winston Churchill High in Eugene, Oregon where he lettered in football, wrestling and track& field ... selected team captain and most inspirational senior year in football ... youngest of eleven kids ... plans to attend graduate school in athletics administration. Chris Del Santo enters his fourth season where he will play an important role on offense ... an all-purpose player with experience at receiver, tight end and running back, Chris is slotted for receiver in '97 ... last season started 5 games in 8 appearances ... tied for 2nd on team with 15 catches (221 yards) ... opened season withh 7 catches for 75 yards, including a 26-yard TD at Chico State ... hauledin2receptions for71 yards with long of43 against Valparaiso ... in6 games in 1995, Chris rushed 17 times for 47 yards (2.8 yards per carry), 1 TD with a long of 17 yards against Evansville ... he also caught 3 passes for 30 yards, including a 21-yard reception against Wagner College in the season finale ... freshman year hauled in 1pass for 11 yards ... prepped at De La Salle High School in Concord, California where he lettered in football and basketball ... he earned All– League and MVP honors in football and participated in the 1994 Contra Costa All-Star game. Travis Dellinger returns for his third year with the Toreros ... he is projected to play invert in 1997 ... a steady performer, Travis gives the defense a lot of experience ... he is the top returning tackler from last year's squad with 55 (24 solos) ... additionally, he tallied 5 tackles for loss, 4 pass deflections and 2 interceptions ... he led team in win over California Lutheran with 11 tackles ... he posted a team-best 14 tackles (4 solo) at Drake ... he came up with a big interception in season-finale against Dayton .. . was recruited by Colorado, San Diego State and Fresno State ... from nearby Oceanside, California, he prepped at University of San Diego High School where they were league and CIF champs in 1994 ... senior year was selected 1st Team All-CIF and 1st Team All-Western

Tam Do enters his second and final year with the USD football team ... a reserve player for the Toreros at cornerback, Tam could also contribute in 1997 on special teams in the punt and kickoff return department ... a hard worker with a great attitude, he is the ultimate team player ... Tam came to the United States from Vietnam for his senior year in high school (Mt. Carmel) ... his first football competition came at Mesa Community College in San Diego where he played two years at wide receiver. Major: Business Administration.
