F rom the D irector and P roducer AFRICA…. A truly magical place with burning skies and fields of gold as far as the eye can see, echoed by the sounds of fascinating creatures nearby. Growing up in the beauty of it all makes me want to share my memories with the audience of our production, bringing to life the images of my childhood onto stage is a dream come true. The cast and crew have been absolutely amazing and as passionate as I am in bringing the epic adventures of Simba to life whilst telling the tale of heartache, growth and accomplishment; the importance of family no matter what shape or size; overcoming all odds to restore balance to the circle of life. Hakuna Matata, no worries has been the motto for our journey and along the way we have grown as individuals as well as a theatrical family. During the show you will be transported by a colourful cast who have been choreographed so beautifully by a dedicated team of choreographers whose dancing skills are phenomenal .Foot stomping African beats vibrating through your veins as well as the colourful pronunciations have been perfected by our music director and sung by the cast , I challenge you to sing along! We have walked in the giant footprints of ellies, peeked above the tallest tree as giraffes and scuttled across stage shuffling our porcupine quills. Let’s not forget the ever important darker side of the African savannah, the scavengers at the ready to steal an opportunity at every corner, we experience these creatures through our hyenas, buzzards and Scar thus completing the Circle of Life.
