ABOUT THE COMMUNITY CENTER Gymnasiums Our two gyms feature cushioned hardwood floors and six adjustable basketball hoops. Combined, the two gyms facilitate three volleyball court or six pickleball courts. The Shakopee Community Center gyms host open gym, in-house programs, events, practices and rentals. Please call the front desk at (952) 233-9500 to confirm gym availability. The majority of gym time is scheduled as open gym. Indoor Track Overlooking the gymnasium is a three-lane walking/jogging track. The track is equal to 14 laps per mile. There is no charge to use the track; just sign in at the front desk. Children under 16 years old must be The fitness center features a variety of cardio equipment, weight machines and free weights. Participants must be 16 years of age to use the fitness center. Participants ages 12-15 may use the equipment after taking a Fitness Orientation, signing a waiver and obtaining a wristband from the front desk. 12-13 year-olds must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Indoor Aquatic Center The 22,300-square-foot aquatic center includes a zero-entry pool with play features and water slide, four lane lap pool, whirlpool and sauna. Indoor Playground - The Lookout The fully enclosed playground has multiple layers of fun with slides, lookout fire truck, climbing wall, spinners and many more obstacles. Drop-in Child Care - Kids Cove A safe place for kids to play and be entertained while parents workout or participate in an activity. Two- hour maximum for children 6 months to 10 years. accompanied by a parent or adult. Cardiovascular & Strength Area
