The Shakopee Girls Softball Association provides different levels of softball, each focusing on skills, techniques and competitive play. All levels utilize volunteer coaches. If you are interested in becoming a coach or volunteering, please visit the website for a detailed explanation and SGSA contact information. All age levels, in both the In-House Program and Traveling Program, are subject to having enough participants at that age level. Travel & In-House Softball Registration www.shakopeegirlssoftball.com Travel Registration Deadline: Friday, Feb. 15. Registrations recieved after Feb. 15 will not guarantee placement on a travel team. In-House Registration Deadline: Friday, April 5. In-House registrations received after April 5 will not guarantee placement on an In-House team.

In-House Leagues We emphasize player skill development, having fun, learning the game, sportsmanship, confidence and respect for others. All levels will stress participation in a noncompetitive manner. The season runs early-May through mid-July. Practice/games are two nights a week. Cost of the In-House league includes a team jersey. All age levels are subject to having enough participants at that age level. Grade levels are 2018-19 school year

Traveling Leagues ( Ages 8-16 (as of 12/31/18) Teams playing traveling softball will generally play in the South and Southwest Metro area. Practices will begin in mid-April with league games in the Big West Fastpitch League being held usually once or twice a week. The Shakopee Girls Softball Association will host their annual Father’s Day weekend tournament June 14-16. Additional weekend tournaments will be played in May - July. Travel uniforms are not included in the registration and/or travel fee. Information on uniforms will be shared at tryouts in March. Players/teams are divided into age groups: 10 & under, 12U, 14U, and 16U (age as of 12/31/18). All age levels are subject to having enough participants at that age level. Travel Registration Fee: $350 per registrant. All fees are payable at time of registration.

*Teams will participate in a low key league playing other community In House teams in close proximity to Shakopee. They will also participate in a low key season end tournament.

All Softball Participants: A volunteer deposit is required and will be returned upon each family fulfilling their SGSA volunteer requirement at the tournaments. For more information on the volunteer requirements for the Travel and In House season please visit the SGSA website and check on the volunteer tab.

2019 Softball Open Gym &Winter Clinics SGSA offers open gym and winter clinics during the off season. Both travel and in-house players are encourage to attend. Please check the website for specific information.
