The Shakopee Youth Lacrosse Association (SYLA) provides different levels of lacrosse to both boys and girls in our community to discover, learn, participate in, and enjoy lacrosse. We teach the fundamental skills and techniques that are needed to be successful to succeed on and off the field. The ultimate goal is to make this a positive and fun experience for the players, parents and coaches. TRAVEL & IN-HOUSE REGISTRATION www.shakopeelacrosse.org Travel registration opens Sunday January 27 and will close Friday March 29. Travel registrations and fees must be submitted on the website by Friday, March 29.

YOUTH SPORTS ASSOCIATIONS

Travel registrations received between January 27 and February 15 will receive a discount of $25. Travel registrations received after March 29 will incur a $50 late fee and uniforms are not guaranteed.

Traveling Teams Teams playing traveling lacrosse will have 2-3 practices per week on a set schedule. League play for both girls and boys starts in early June with post-season play at the end of July. Travel teams will have two weekend tournaments and the opportunity to play in the state tournament. Full calendars will be published in May. Practices will begin in mid-April and evaluations will be held late April. A $300 volunteer deposit is required and will be destroyed after each family has fulfilled 6 SYLA volunteer hours. More information on the volunteer requirements will be covered in the mandatory parent meeting at the beginning of the season.

In-House Clinic This two-week clinic will replace the weekly in-house program from previous years. Clinic times will be communicated in May. Cost includes a t-shirt.
