W e ’ re so excited to announce our new store at Brookfield Place. It’s been an incredible journey over the past months, with architects, construction crews, staffing up and planning floor sets. With neighbors like Hermes, Scoop, CosBar and Burberry, we knew we had to get it just right! This will be the first integrated store, featuring all of the cool clothes and toys alongside the modern furniture and best-of-breed gear. We hope you come and visit! But that’s not the only new Babesta in town: We’re over the moon for a fly little guy named Maxwell, born in November to our amazing buyer, Chandra. Needless to say, it’s been a busy couple months! This issue of Babesta Beat is rich with creative talent. Uber photog Anna Palma shot our fashion stories: The Amazing Life of an ’80s Superfan Born Decades Too Late, an over the top nod to our favorite decade, and Animal Jam, an adorable romp of fashion and fun where we also collaborated with Hong Kong-based artist collective Papinee. Top trends, tips and inspiration abound in this issue, including a fabulous profile of Babesta fashion fave Nununu. The brand’s alternative yet traditional take on baby and kids’ clothing is refreshing and cool and yes, we all rush to snap up their size 14 just in case.
