Denizen Vatted Dark Rum 100PF / 750ML A blend of dark rum from Guyana (80%) and unaged rhum agricole from Martinique (20%). The Guyana rum portion is made from three different rums: 25% distilled in French Savalle and Wooden coffey stills then it aged in ex-bourbon barrels, 25% unaged wooden pot still rum, and the remaining 50% is dark unaged wooden pot still rum. 97pts Beverage Testing Institute HAMPDEN JAMAICA Hampden Estate is one of the last surviving distilleries that still uses discontinuous distillation to produce its rums; it currently has four operational pot stills. The oldest, a John Dore installed in 1960, can contain 2,000 gallons. Its impressive swan-like neck has earned it the nickname “the elephant”. This is pure, traditional Jamaican rum. 100% pot distilled. Open fermentation with native yeasts. No sugar, color nor flavor additives. Aged on site in Jamaica. Hampden Estate Jamaican Rum 7yr Overproof 120PF / 750ML A unique and exceptional rum, the result of an assemblage of different marks, all with a minimum barrel ageing of 7 tropical years equivalent to 8 years ageing in Europe. The nose is very intense, every scent amplified by the higher abv. A delighful scent of cherry is sorrounded by delicate touches of woods & spices. Definitely dry, with a very enjoyable bitter taste. Lightly oaky and spicy, the finish is gentle, fullfilled by varnish and incense frangrances. Hampden Estate Jamaican Rum 8yr 92PF / 750ML The rum has been aged for 8 years in Jamaica (tropical climate), equivalent to almost 25 years of maturation in the European climate. The nose is voluptuous and intense, with notes of caramelized apple and sweet spices mixed with a delicate touch of smokiness. The mouth is very fascinating, smooth & dry at the same time (sugar free & additives free): it reveals pleasant notes of wood, tropical fruits and resin.
