The use of image registration and fusion promises further improvement of
brachytherapy treatment. In this symposium registration techniques for different
imaging modalities also for deformable registration are covered. Moreover
uncertainties, pitfalls, and differences to the use of image fusion in external beam
therapy as well as its application in focal prostate brachytherapy are discussed.
