Tip
The features available on a Cisco IP Phone depend upon the call processing
environment (or “protocol”) that the IPPhone uses. YourCisco IPPhone uses
the Cisco CallManager call processing environment. The information in this
guide is specific to CiscoCallManager.

Enables you to scroll through text and select features
displayed on the LCD screen.

Dial pad
Works exactly like the dial pad on a traditional telephone.

Soft keys
Enableyou toengageanyof the functionsdisplayedon the
corresponding LCD tabs. Soft keys point to feature
options displayed along the bottom of your LCD screen.
Soft keys change depending on the status of your phone.
For example, you can see one set of soft keyoptionswhen
you pick up the handset, and another set when the phone
is not in use.
