Bor miners enjoy special sta-
tus of proudness in the town.
However, the existing produc-
tion capacity is not sufficient to
provide work for everybody, so
many must wait and see what
happens. Though local people
know that economic conditions
can only improve, they are suf-
ficiently realistic to understand
there is no chance of an im
mediate recovery. The dark side
of the moon spreads its shadow,
forcing them to be patient, and
it may well keep spreading for
some time.
