Codex Committee on Methods of Analysis and Sampling
(CCMAS)
CCMAS does not develop methods, but endorses methods
developed by others
New methods are proposed by the Commodity Committee
CCMAS then reviews method performance and determines if it
should be endorsed
At endorsement the method is Typed (I‐IV) by CCMAS
Once endorsed Method must be Adopted by CAC
