What if no RT images are available?
• Do not register, use side by side
• Consider increasing the PTV margin
• If a local registration is possible, make sure
– the registration can be validated on structures AROUND the
tumor
– You don’t simply put the ‘spot on the spot’
– the registration is not used for other purposes (i.e. delineation of
lymph nodes, organs at risk etc.)
