Phosphorus, Sodium, and Zinc in Fortified Food Products - Microwave Digestion and Inductively

Thismethod and extensive supporting datawere originally published as J. AOAC Int. 92, 1484 (2009)
and J. AOAC Int. 95, 177 (2012).
Since2011 thisprocedurehasbeen submitted toextensivePerformanceTesting.
Thisdocument summarizes thedata fromPerformanceTestingmade in2012.
2. PerformanceTesting.
TheAOACprocedurewas usedby 29participatingand independent laboratories around theworld to
analyse six categoriesof fortified foodproducts:
 Milkbased Infant Formulapowders
 LiquidHealthcareNutritional Products
 Infant Cereal powders
 Chocolatebeveragepowders
 DryPet food
 Wet Pet Food
In the testingprotocol, each laboratoryanalysed fourdifferent test samples ineach category.
