Several NGOs, such as The Diane Fossey Fund, help
protect and rescue gorilla orphans. Following the release
of the UNEP-INTERPOL Rapid Response report, the UN
peace keeping force in DRC assisted in transporting
orphaned critically endangered gorillas to safe zones.
