Lead Program Grant Program
Sometime between September 1 and September 9, superintendents should receive
electronically from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission a list of buildings in their
districts eligible for participation in the Lead Program Grants (PbPG) Program. These grants
provide funding for testing of lead in drinkable water and for remediation of any potential
lead sources. Primarily, these are buildings in use prior to January 1, 1990.
The grants can be used to cover the costs of testing by a certified laboratory and of
materials used in any necessary remediation of lead sources. Labor costs are not included.
If you believe that you have eligible buildings not included on the notice from OFCC, please
contact that agency as soon as possible.
